It hit me rather strangely last night that it was the last one I would spend in my own (very comfy) bed for the next twelve weeks. We fly to The States tonight, to wait out the arrival of Baby G.
As much as I consider Texas "Home," I have definitely experienced the paradigm shift that occurs when people who are moved overseas accept that somewhere so far from what is familiar can, in fact, be Home. It has everything to do with the faces I see and love each day at Casa Giese. And when we return, they'll be a new addition to that club - a new chapter for us.
Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers tonight as this Big Mommy tries to find a comfortable spot at thirty-six thousand feet. Can't wait to catch up with ya'll once we're settled and Stateside!

Wishing you the best for a safe trip and exciting times to come. My husband's firm recently approached us about moving to Japan for two years...so I always enjoy your perspective on life far away from "home." Best of luck.
