Two Steps Forward...

We put in a lot of thought and effort into some finishing touches for Avery's room this weekend, but I can't say I have anything to show for it. What can I say? It just takes a long time to complete a project 'round Casa Giese. Thought you might like a sneak peak, though, of the ink-blue bed up next to her hot pink bedding. Despite the poor lighting in this pic, it's more wonderful than I imagined, and I wish you could feel that glossy, painted surface - 'tis smooth as glass!
(Back with a bigger reveal as soon as possible)

J'adore the personalized pillowcase! And the colors are so cheerful - Avery is a very lucky girl!

BTW, did you do the pillows yourself? If so, (yes, I'm a big DIY handicapped), did you cut the letters into a pattern and just sew directly on to the case or did you add any stuffing underneath the letters?

LOVE it. The navy headboard is so inky and lacquer-like. Gorgeous!
