I'm about half-way through the "Italy" portion of Eat, Pray, Love. No, I'm not such a bandwagon-er as to be reading the book simply because the new Julia Roberts flick based on the story is now in theaters. The film release merely reminded me the tome was on my reading list.
Anywaaaaay.....All this reading of life in Rome, as well as the beautiful stills shot on location for the film having mepraying craving some Italy myself. I've always wanted to go back for the grape harvest in October. Wouldn't it be de lovely?
We could eat piles of pasta

Grapes makes me think of purple, which leads to lavender, and visions of rooms like this begin to dance 'round my head.
I remember this issue. Gorgeous. Still have it. Somewhere.

I haven't seen the movie yet, but I have read the book. Italy was definitely my favorite part, too. :)
I'm so glad I found your blog! I am a Dallas girl who is moving to England next week. I may need some tips for ex-pat living!!
Italy is my favorite place on earth!
I want to see the movie because I love Julia, but I hated the book. People either love it or hate it. It did make me miss Italy and want to be spontaneous.
I am craving Italy like never before. Pasta, wine, atmosphere...maybe we can family trip it one day. Clint seems to think he has a "business trip" to the best land on earth here soon. Doubt it.
Oh, I read that book about a year ago...and I did.not.want.to.leave ITALY!!!! I almost protested, but that wouldn't have done any good. I am sure it was due to all the pasta and gelato. Ahhhhhh.....enjoy!
Oh that lavender room is perfection.
